A design studio for cabinetry, with the coordination attached
Custom spaces, crafted around you.
Honest about the shape of the business
Craft Mill Works is a North York based design and project-coordination studio for custom cabinetry and architectural millwork. We measure the space, draw the cabinetry, help you choose materials and finishes, and coordinate manufacturing and installation with our local partners so that one person stays accountable from the first conversation to the final adjustment.
A lot of companies in this category imply a workshop they do not have. We would rather be specific: Craft Mill Works is the design, sales and project-coordination company. We take the measurements, produce the drawings, specify the materials and finishes, and manage manufacturing and installation with local partners we work with regularly.
That structure has a real advantage, which is why we chose it. Rather than being tied to one factory’s catalogue, we specify what suits the project — and because we own the coordination rather than the machinery, the person who measured your space is the person still accountable for it in week eight.
It also has a limit worth stating: we are not the cheapest option, and we would not claim to be. If price is the only consideration, well-chosen stock cabinetry from a volume supplier will beat us, and we will say so during the first conversation rather than after you have spent time on the process.

From raw dimensions to a finished space
The room decides
Every project starts as a measured survey — wall lengths, ceiling heights at both ends, how far the floor falls, where the services actually are. Cabinetry designed from that fits. Cabinetry designed from a floor plan needs filler panels to cover the difference.
Storage before style
We ask what you own and how you cook before we ask what you like the look of. A beautiful kitchen with the wrong drawer heights is a kitchen you fight with daily. The finish is the last decision, not the first.
Drawn, then built
You approve elevation drawings and a written scope listing every cabinet before anything is manufactured. Revisions at that stage cost time and nothing else, which is precisely why we want you to take that time.
Commitments rather than claims
We have no awards to show you and no certification badges to display. These are structural facts about how we run a project, and you can check every one of them.
One point of contact throughout
The person who measures your space is the person who answers the phone in week six. You are not handed from a salesperson to a project manager to an installer, each with a different version of the plan.
A written scope, not a verbal one
Every quotation refers to a document that lists each cabinet and its size. That is what you approve, and it is what the price is based on — which makes it obvious what is included and what is not.
Measured on site, drawn to fit
Dimensions come from a survey of your room, including how far it is out of level and plumb. Cabinetry is designed around what is actually there rather than around standard increments.
Design and installation coordinated together
We manage manufacturing and installation with our local partners as one process. The junctions between trades are our problem rather than yours.
A clear change process
If something changes after approval — your choice or ours — it is priced and confirmed in writing before it happens. No change appears for the first time on the final invoice.
Local coverage across the GTA
We are based in North York and work across the Greater Toronto Area. Where an area is at the edge of our range, we say so at the first conversation rather than stretching to cover it badly.
Homeowners, and the professionals they hire
Directly with homeowners
Most of our work is with people renovating their own home — a kitchen, a set of built-ins, a closet, a vanity. You deal with one person from the first conversation to the final adjustment, and there is no handover from a salesperson to somebody who has never seen your room.
Request a ConsultationWith designers, builders and contractors
We are comfortable being the cabinetry specialist on someone else’s team — working to your drawings and specification, producing shop drawings for review, and fitting your programme rather than asking you to restructure around ours.
For designers and buildersNorth York, and outward from there
We are based in North York and work across the Greater Toronto Area. Toronto, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham and Thornhill are our core area, and consultations there are usually arranged within a few days. Etobicoke, Scarborough and Mississauga are regular.
Aurora, Newmarket and Oakville sit at the edge of our range. We provide consultations for homeowners in those areas and take projects case by case depending on scope and schedule — and if a project is not a sensible fit at that distance, we will say so at the first conversation rather than after you have invested time in the process.

Tell us what you want to build
Send us the room, a rough idea, or three photographs on your phone. We will tell you what is involved, what it depends on, and what it is likely to take — before anyone talks about price.
