Terms of Use

The terms governing your use of this website. Last updated July 1, 2026.

About these terms

These terms govern your use of this website, operated by Craft Mill Works. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

These terms cover the website only. Any project we carry out for you is governed by a separate written agreement — the drawings, the scope document and the quotation you approve. Where the two differ, that agreement governs the work.

Information on this site

We take care to keep the content of this site accurate and current, but it is general information about the kind of work we do rather than advice about your specific property.

In particular, please note:

  • Prices and planning ranges are illustrative. Any figures given in our guides are planning bands to help you set a budget, and they are labelled as such. They are not quotations, they are not offers, and they do not bind us. A quotation is a specific document prepared for your project after we have measured the space.
  • Timelines are estimates. Durations described on this site are typical rather than guaranteed, and any particular project depends on scope, on material availability, and on other trades.
  • Materials and finishes shown are representative. They are not a stocked catalogue. Availability changes, and screen colours are approximations. We confirm what is actually obtainable for your project before you commit to it.
  • Guides are not professional advice. Our resource articles are written from experience and are intended to help you plan. They are not structural, electrical, plumbing, building-code or legal advice. Work requiring a licensed trade or a permit must be carried out and certified by the appropriate professional.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use this site for any unlawful purpose
  • Submit false information through our forms, or submit information about a property you have no connection to
  • Attempt to interfere with the site, circumvent its security measures, or use automated tools to submit forms
  • Copy, reproduce or republish substantial parts of this site’s content without our written permission
  • Upload any file containing malicious code

What you send us

When you submit an enquiry or upload photographs, you confirm that you are entitled to share that material and that doing so does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

We use what you send us to respond to your enquiry and to deliver your project. We do not publish customer photographs or use them in marketing without your separate written agreement. How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy policy.

Intellectual property

The content of this site — text, drawings, diagrams, layout and design — belongs to Craft Mill Works unless stated otherwise. You may view it, print it and share links to it for your own non-commercial use. You may not reproduce it commercially or present it as your own.

Drawings we produce for your project remain our intellectual property unless the written agreement for that project says otherwise. [Confirm this position with your legal advisor — practice varies, and some clients will expect to own drawings they have paid for.]

Links to other sites

This site may link to sites we do not control. We provide those links for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Availability

We aim to keep this site available but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.

Limitation of liability

[This section must be reviewed by a lawyer. Ontario consumer protection legislation limits what a business may exclude, and an over-broad exclusion can be unenforceable in its entirety.]

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this website or from reliance on its general information. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here is the current one, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
